"Let's Eat!"
"Let's Eat!"
My all time favorite snacks are gummy bears and Starburst jellybeans, and wouldn’t you know it, they are also fan fav snackaroos for these little cuties as well! Just don’t mistake the caterpillar for a gummy bear, trust me, they are not made of the same ingredients.
As for the cupcake, personally I am a frosting fanatic, but you can hold the cake. I feel like this hungry caterpillar would let me have the frosting if I let him have the cake. He seems nice. He’s currently a bit overstimulated by the amount of sprinkles raining down on him, he just isn’t used to sugar falling from the sky. Hopefully he doesn’t pull a Chicken Little and start claiming the sky is falling. It’s just sugar lil bro. Calm down.
This sweets-loving ant has come to slice the cupcake for us to all share! Did you know ants can lift 10x their own body weight? They can. However this mini muscle man has been working out, so lifting this knife is a piece of cake. (get it?)
This four-piece collection is part of my Itty Bitty Critter Committee series of paintings, each painted in acrylic on reclaimed wood. These cuties would go so well in a kitchen where they can be displayed in a grouping on the wall or on a shelf. Three of them come with hangers on the back for easy installation, and the ants on jellybeans are meant to stand alone on a surface.
The ant wielding a knife measures 10×2”, and the two blocks each measure about 3×5”.
