"Glass Houses"
These Itty Bitty Critters make wonderful pets, come in their own happy habitats, and don’t even require feeding! And there’s FIVE of them in this collection!! Mainly because they are all really good friends and I couldn’t split them up. I tried and they all threw a collective tantrum.
The real star of the show is the bright orange tree frog in the center of the photo. He is quite the drama queen, and likes to quote the movie Anchorman every time he gets upset. You’ll hear “I’m in a glass case of emotion!” followed by some ramblings about Baxter or something. I’ve learned to tune him out when he gets in his feels.
This captive caterpillar might look ordinary, but she’s a Monarch Butterfly in disguise! Did you know that this is what Monarchs look like before they cocoon up and transform? Well now you do! Knowlege is power.
Our fishy friend, the goldfish with “GULP” on her tag, just watched Alice in Wonderland and is really hoping you don’t take this as a sign to drink this vial. She will not make you grow to a giant or shrink down to the size of her turtle boyfriend (we’ll meet him next). So don’t even think about it.
Who likes moss? This turtle does! He’s a renown botanist and has published a number of groundcovering books on the study of Bryology (aka moss, I looked it up). It might sound boring to you, but his goldfish lady love is hooked on this reptile!
My friend the horned sand viper loves his habitat, its cozy and warm, and he gets to participate in game night when you’re playing Headbandz, Boggle or Charades and need a timer. He gets a little competitive, so keep the snacks coming so he doesn’t get hangry.
The largest in this collection measures 10.5×5”, and the smallest is 5.5×2.5”.
